Original, signed by artist. 11X14 Pastel  Pencil on watercolor paper.

Called the school of “Chiaroscuro” this drawing uses strong contrasts between light and dark which affects the whole composition.  The use of these contrasts create three-dimensional volume of the objects. The affect was used by many artists during the 18th and 19th century, however modern photography and film have adopted its use. My use of cross hatching gave me the freedom to mix and blend the colors to show the lights in the color spectrum.
